Print and electronic media play vital role in dissemination of information about enterprise reform and the issues of concern to the stakeholders. SSNP enlists support of media towards sensitizing the stakeholders on the need for capacity building of the job loss affected workforce to be reintegrated into changing labour market.

Media coverage on SSNP activities educates and informs the workforce of the human face approach of the government. Media has been very active in covering the issues of enterprise reforms and the workers’ issues. It also focused on the SSNP’s efforts at facilitating alternative livelihoods through counselling, retraining and related services. Enlisting support of media in informing the stakeholders with regard to the SSNP efforts is part of the communication strategy to ensure alternative livelihoods through informed choices.
